National Disability Conference
The conference is about bringing together stakeholders to deliberate on matters of disability and how best it can be mainstreamed in Kenya’s devolved system of governance. It started in the year 2013.
It is usually attended by critical stakeholders including high-profile government representatives, Cabinet Secretaries, Governor especially from FCDC counties, Members of Parliament, development partners, and disabled persons organizations among others.
The outcome of this is usually the ‘Isiolo Declaration’ that contains resolutions agreed upon by the participants to mainstream disability into issues of international, national, and regional priorities.
