A Society where PWDs have a voice and space to participate in all aspects of life and live dignified lives.
Justice; Respect; Non-discrimination Accountability Team Spirit
Every year we bring something new that brings people together to realize that disability is not inability. The fashion gala and the desert race are a proof that together we can win!
''Ours has been a story of hope. We have challenged PWDs from the region to always remain hopeful and be motivated. For many of us NONDO‘s mission is a lifestyle – far more commitment than an 8h hour job, because the reward is always better in terms of making a difference in the lives of others. When you see change – real change in someone’s eyes – it touches you forever and ever.''
"The disability community in Kenya will find no greater advocate nor any organization that will work as hard on their behalf as NONDO. Not only does NONDO implement an award-winning advocacy program in the countries' poorest Nomadic regions but also with such passion and dedication NONDO`s Staff work with other organizations; both local and international, government officials, hundreds of volunteers and members of the disability community to advocate for the rights, inclusion and participation of persons with disability in all spheres of life".
''I have here the 2018 Isiolo Declaration. We have appended our signatures; National County Government, Developmental Partners, Civil Society Organizations and the Private Sector. After this event today we want to take with us, all of us, to see how we can enforce it.'' Some of the approaches that NONDO utilize include; inclusive sports, media engagement and litigation (legal processes).
